SYSTRA USA Appoints New President & CEO

 

Little Falls, New Jersey (11 February 2009) – Philippe Citroën, Managing Director of Systra SA has appointed Diego Diaz as SYSTRA USA’s (SYSTRA’s) new President & CEO, effective immediately. “I am very excited to have been selected to lead SYSTRA,” said Diaz. “I look forward to contributing, with such a strong planning and engineering team, to upcoming projects launched by high‐speed rail and transit authorities in the United States.”

Mr. Diaz recently joined SYSTRA from Bombardier Transportation, where he held several leadership positions in the management teams for Light Rail and Services divisions. Following the merger of AdTranz and Bombardier in 2001, Mr. Diaz was instrumental in integrating the two companies, and successfully reshaping and positioning the Light Rail division. In addition, as a former director of marketing & business development for Bombardier, Mr. Diaz spearheaded efforts that led to significant contracts in new markets. Mr. Diaz began his career as an aeronautical engineer, and he holds a Master of Science degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T.) as well as a Master of Business Administration degree from the M.I.T. Sloan School of Management.
